dc.description.abstract | Fabrics, which are intermediate products of the textile industry, are products that are obtained by different production techniques and are basic fibers. Considering the share of fabric production in the textile sector, production diversity and usage area, the woven fabrics, which constitute the largest fabric class, are the knits formed by the connections formed by the intersection of two parallel thread series called weft and warp yarn. Although it is possible to remove or prevent certain fabric faults that may occur due to developments in weaving technology, there are still faults during fabric production today. In this study, a system has been developed which can make real time error detection on weaving fabric by using image processing techniques. This system consists of a mechanism that enables real time woven fabric error control using the shearlet conversion feature extraction method from image processing techniques on instantly recorded woven fabric images with a Full HD camera. In the real time error detection studies made with this apparatus, the defects of warp breakage, weft breakage, hole, tear and stain have been successfully detected. © 2019, TUBITAK.
