dc.description.abstractPublic perception of Native Americans by non-Natives takes its form from films, television, advertising and popular literature. From the 19th century press to 20th century Hollywood movies, they are either known as artifacts from the past or known as a distinct nation because of the wrong media images and messages. lt is also because of the negative processes of the media like naturalization and marginalization that create racial discriminations.en_US
dc.description.abstractYerli olmayanlarca oluşturulan yerli Amerikalıların kamu algısı biçimsel özelliklerini filmlerden, televizyondan, reklamlardan ve popüler edebiyattan alır. Yanlış medya görsellerinden ve mesajlarından ötürü, 19. yüzyıl basınından 20. yüzyıl Hollywood filmlerine kadar, yerli Amerikalılar ya geçmişten gelen eserler ya da ayrı bir ulus olarak bilinir. Aynı zamanda medya, vatandaşlığa geçiş ve marjinalleştirme gibi olumsuz süreçlerden ötürü de ırk ayrımcılığı yaratır. Yerli Amerikalıların kimliği üzerine kurulan kamu algısı çoğunlukla medya görselleri ve mesajları tarafından şekillenir.en_US
