The United Nations have set a couple of international mechanisms to monitor humans rights, namely treaty bodies and charted-based bodies. The first include the Human Rights Council, Universal Periodic Review (UPR), Special Procedures of the Human Rights Council and Human Rights Council Complaint Procedure.
