The effects of silent reading, scrambled story activity, and extended procedure in reconstruction of narratives of a youth with hearing loss were examined within a single-subject research format. Stories were generated and validated for this purpose. Narrative reconstruction of the participant was assessed according to seven story grammar parts. The results revealed that the extended procedure resulted with the highest level of story grammar parts, followed by the scrambled story activity. Possible explanations are offered for these findings. Furthermore, limitations of the study and future directions are discussed.en_US
