Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; Fen bilgisi öğretimi sırasında öğrencilerin deney yapma etkinliği, laboratuar kullanımı ve güvenliğine yönelik tutularını ve bu tutumların çeşitli değişkenlere göre olan farklılıklarını incelemektir. Araştırma 2000/2001 öğretim yılında İzmir ve Aydın'a bağlı Nazilli İlçesinde yer alan devlet ve özel ilköğretim okullarında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu okullarda öğrenim gören 1770 öğrenciye 18 maddelik bir tutum ölçeği uygulanmıştır. EIde edilen veriler üzerinde SPSS 10.0 paket programıyla ANOVA ve t-testi analizleri yapılmıştır. Okullara, okunan sınıf düzeyine ve cinsiyete göre öğrencilerin deney yapma etkinliği, laboratuar kullanımı ve güvenliğine yönelik tutumlarında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur
The aim ot this study is to investigate the attitudes of students towards experimenting in science teaching, usage of laboratory and safety in experiment-based learning. The research was implemented during 2000/2001 school year at the state and private schools of İzmir and the district of Aydın. Nazilli. An attitude scale which consists of 18 items was applied to 1770 students in these schools. Analisis of data was made by SPSS 10.0 package program and interpreted by using ANOVA and tests. Meaningfull differences were found in the attitudes of students about experimenting the usage of laboratory and safety in experiment-based learning between schools, classroom level and gender.
