Özet
Bu çalışma; dezavantajlı ve destekleyici koşullar içinde yaşayan kent çocuklarının, kent yaşamına uyum süreçlerinde yaşadıkları sorunları özetlemek, uygulanmakta olan çalışmaları derlemek ve hazırlanan çalışmalardan yola çıkarak bazı çözüm önerileri üretmek üzere derlenmiştir. Kent mekânlarında düzenlenmeler yapılması hem dezavantajlı hem de destekleyici koşullarda yetişen çocuklar için önemsenmelidir. Çocuk dostu kent, çocuğun gelecekte kentine sahip çıkan yetişkin bir birey olabilmesi için onun fiziksel ve sosyal gelişimini destekleyebilen özelliklere sahip olandır. Ayrıca çocuklar çevrelerine bir yabancı gibi yetişmektedir. Bu yabancılaşmayı önlemek için oyun ve parklar yeniden düzenlenmeli ve kent müzeleri çocukların her zaman hizmet alabilecekleri ve zamanlarını geçirebilecekleri aktif mekânlar haline getirilmelidir.
This study has been devised in order to; summarise the problems experienced by suburban children who live in a disadvantegous and supportive environment, during their adaptation process to the life in the city, compile the ongoing applications and based on the work prepared, put forward certain solutions. Modulations in cityscape for children living in both such disadvantegous and supportive conditions of the innercity must be prioritised. Children friendly cities are the ones that accommodate features supporting the child's social and physical developments which in turn enables them to become adults who own up their habitats in the future. In addition, children are brought up as strangers to their environments. ın order to avoid this issue, play areas and parks must be rearranged, and the city museums must be turned into interactive spaces where children can continiously benefit and spend their time in.
