dc.description.abstract46, XY gonadal dysgenesis, firs described in 1959 by Swyer, is a syndrome which, in its complete from, is characterized by a female phenotype, normal to tall stature, bilateral dysgenetic gonads, sexual infantilism with primary amenorrhea, ansent breast development, eunuchoid habitus, and a 46, XY karyotype, The internal structures are female with bilateral fallopian tubes, a uterus, usually hypoplastic, and a vagina. Cases with the incomplete form may have both ambiguous internal and external genitalia.en_US
